Cinzia graduated from the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa in 1984. Together with her husband Volker Scheid, she established the West Terrace Clinic in Eastbourne, a multi-disciplinary center for complementary medicine. Running a busy practice for the next fifteen years Cinzia gained experience in treating a wide range of conditions and patients of all age groups.

Cinzia left Eastbourne in 1999 for further studies of Chinese language and medicine at the Shanghai University of Chinese Medicine. She was particularly fortunate to be able to study with Prof. Li Ding and Prof. You Yiren, two of Shanghai's foremost acupuncture physicians. She visited a wide range of other acupuncturists in Nanjing, Suzhou and Beijing, carrying out a series of interviews that became the foundation for an MSc in acupuncture.

Cinzia has undertaken further studies in China, Korea and Japan allowing her to draw on an extensive repertoire of techniques that, over time, she has blended into her very own style. She is attentive to the unique constitution and present condition of each person and will offer not only options for dealing with your current problems but also to safeguard treatment results and promote ongoing health and well-being.

On her return to the UK in 2001, Cinzia relocated to London, where she has lived and practiced since: initially at the Angel Chiropractic Clinic and now at The Clinic @ Southbank.

Cinzia is a senior lecturer and clinical supervisor at the School of Life Sciences, University of Westminster and a co-founder of the European Institute of Oriental Medicine (EIOM) in Munich. She regular lectures in the UK, Germany and internationally.
